Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

By downloading, installing, or using IslamSwipe ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

1. Overview

IslamSwipe is an Islamic content and spiritual tracking app providing Quran verses, hadith, duas, dhikr counters, Islamic history, scholarly wisdom, and curated thematic collections. The app is available on iOS through the Apple App Store.

2. Eligibility

IslamSwipe is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. To create an account using Apple Sign In, you must have an Apple ID, which has its own age requirements. Guest mode is available without an account. If you are under 18, we recommend you use the app with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

3. Accounts

You can use IslamSwipe as a guest or sign in with Apple. If you sign in, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and account. You agree to provide accurate information when setting up your profile (display name, username, bio). You may have only one account. You can delete your account at any time from Profile then Account Settings then Delete Account, which permanently removes all your data from our servers and clears local data from your device.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

IslamSwipe offers a free tier and a premium subscription ("IslamSwipe Premium").

Free tier includes: Access to all content in the feed (Quran, Hadith, Dua, Dhikr, Islamic History, Wisdom), basic dhikr counter, limited hands-free dhikr sessions (5 per week), up to 2 simultaneous dhikr sessions, current week heatmap, Quran progress bar, and basic feed filters.

Premium tier includes: Everything in free, plus unlimited hands-free dhikr sessions, unlimited simultaneous dhikr sessions, full 52-week heatmap, complete Quran Journey map grid, curated collections, custom dhikr targets, profile picture upload, follow other users, dhikr insights and optimal time finder, advanced feed personalisation, and shareable stats.

Pricing: IslamSwipe Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. Prices are displayed in the app in your local currency before purchase and are set in App Store Connect. The yearly plan offers a saving compared to monthly billing.

Billing: All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. IslamSwipe does not process payments directly and never has access to your payment information.

Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your App Store account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings then your name then Subscriptions then IslamSwipe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

Free trials: If a free trial is offered and you subscribe before the trial ends, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.

Restore purchases: If you reinstall the app or switch devices, you can restore your subscription from the Premium screen by tapping "Restore Purchases". You must be signed in with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.

5. Content

IslamSwipe provides curated Islamic content including Quran verses (Arabic text, transliteration, and English translation), hadith from authenticated collections, duas (supplications), dhikr phrases, Islamic history, and wisdom from companions and early scholars. All content includes source references.

Quran translations are scholarly interpretations of meaning and may vary between translators. Hadith included in the app are sourced from authenticated collections and graded Sahih (authentic) or Hasan (good) as a minimum standard. Content is curated by the IslamSwipe team and is not user-generated.

The app is not a substitute for formal Islamic education, qualified scholarly guidance, or a teacher. Users are encouraged to verify content with qualified scholars for matters of jurisprudence (fiqh) and personal religious rulings.

6. User-Generated Content

Signed-in users may post comments on content cards. Guest users cannot post comments. By posting a comment, you grant IslamSwipe a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your comment within the app. You are solely responsible for the content of your comments.

You agree not to post comments that are abusive, hateful, threatening, harassing, or harmful to others, contain profanity, obscenity, or sexually explicit material, spread false or misleading Islamic content, impersonate another person, contain spam, advertising, or promotional material, violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to remove any comment and to suspend or permanently ban any user who violates these Terms, without prior notice.

7. Reporting and Blocking

Users can report content or other users via the menu on any feed card. Reports are reviewed and actioned as appropriate. Users can block other users, which hides the blocked user's content from their feed. Blocked users can be managed from Account Settings.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users, post false, misleading, or fabricated Islamic content, attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or private information, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of the app, use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the app or its content, circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the app, use the app for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to exploit the subscription system or any other feature of the app.

9. Intellectual Property

The IslamSwipe app, including its design, code, user interface, curated content descriptions, and branding, is the intellectual property of IslamSwipe. Quran text is the word of Allah and is not subject to copyright. Hadith texts and scholarly sayings are from classical Islamic sources. You may share individual content cards from the app for personal, non-commercial purposes using the built-in share feature.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IslamSwipe and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your comments or content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Apple Terms (Third-Party Beneficiary)

These Terms are between you and IslamSwipe only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of the app. Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, or discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim. 16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
